Mokshanivas was founded in 2004 by Greg & Dominique Wright. It is a centre dedicated to the cultivation of consciousness and exploration of Inner Space & Silence.

The centre started in the winter 2004 on Patnem beach under the shade of Coconut trees on an earthen floor and then in 2007 we shifted to Palolem and built a fully equipped centre made with wood and canvas.

We now invite teachers from around the world to hold workshops and trainings at Mokshanivas.

We are Located in a very calm and quiet part of Palolem, Canacona South Goa. Just 5 minute walk to beach.

The Yoga floor has the Western Ghats (Small mountain range running form Maharastra to Kerala) as a backdrop. Built with Eucalyptus & heavy duty ply board the floor is raised 60cms It can hold 20 students and has all the props they need + stage for demonstrations. There is green treated canvas roof & heavy duty curtains on 3 sides and mosquito netting on the end facing the Western Ghats.

The Goa centre operates between November & April every year.

May to October 2008, We are at Casa Tomaren, Lanzarote.

Dominique (Uma) & Greg (Mahesh) Wright have been living in India, bringing up their children, studying and teaching Yoga together for over 10 years. They are full time yogis who have dedicated their lives to the practice of Yoga, not limiting the work to the non slip mat but also translating the Yoga and Meditation to their everyday lives.

Dominique (Uma)

12 Years of Experience in Yoga.

Her expertise and passion is teaching women how to use the wonderful tools that Yoga and Meditation have to offer, in order to ease the pains and difficulties that can arise during the challenging times of menstruation, pregnancy, post-partum, motherhood and menopause.

She has spent 4 years as an apprentice and Teacher Trainee at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre in India, where she assisted and conducted weekly Introductory Courses.

She has first hand experience with 2 successful pregnancies and home deliveries using Yoga throughout. She continues to explore the best ways to manage her life as a woman, wife and mother.

She is also adept in teaching beginners and evolving students regardless whether male, female, children or senior citizens.



Greg (Mahesh)

10 years experience in Iyengar Yoga

His Forte is inspiring students, both beginners and more experienced, to embrace Yoga and apply it in their everyday life. He spent 4 years as apprentice and Teacher Trainee at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre, India; 1 year TTC with Christian Pisano at the Institute de Yoga Iyengar, Nice, France. He continues to study with various senior teachers of the Iyengar method.

He is a dedicated practitioner, a permanent student to Yoga as a way of life and an attentive teacher, who approaches Yoga as an experiential science.


Yoga is an art, a way of life that can be learned by many different ways or paths. Literally, Yoga means integration, bringing together, Union of the body/mind complex with the universal spirit or god consciousness. Yoga is about cultivating a relaxed state of mind for Meditation. The practice of yoga postures (asana) and of breathing (Pranayama) helps us to come and exist in the present moment by developing watchfulness and stillness.

There are many different “styles” of Yoga: Ashtanga, Kundalini, Iyengar, Sivananda, Bikram, Anusara, the list goes on… These are just names either of the teacher who developed that approach or to describe the method. The teachers who work at Mokshanivas are trained in the Iyengar method but not restricted or limited by it.

In Hatha Yoga, the practitioner performs various postures to bring about strength and stability to the body and mind. Only through daily practice will the art of Yoga be kept alive, evolve, grow and become a way of life.

Yoga is an experiential science.




BKS Iyengar

Born in 1918, Mr. Iyengar is a great modern-day master who has, through his own intensive study and practice, developed a refined technique of practicing yoga in the most precise and detailed manner. According to his method, alignment has to be brought about in every pose. Thanks to the creation of yoga props (i.e. blanket, bricks and various other supports) and the diverse ways of performing the poses, Yoga is made available to all.

Shri BKS Iyengar will be 90 this year and he is still doing his practice.

We are in the Mining Industry ever since its inception six decades ago and our mining activities included prospecting of Iron Ore, Manganese Ore and Bauxite Ore. The man behind the successful growth of our mining activities was late Mr. Shantilal Khushaldas Gosalia, the Founder and the Pioneer of the Gosalia Group of Companies.

Over the past two years, we have been concentrating on mining of Bauxite Ore from our mines locates ion South Goa (India), with an estimated deposit of 70 million tonnes of various grades. Our ore is being used by Aluminum Companies, Cement Manufacturers and Alum/Chemical Industries in India.

Apart from our indigenous clientele, whose off-take figures run into large quantities, we have, so far, exported Bauxite Ore to U.A.E., Japan, Europe, Hong Kong, Ukraine and lately to Iran.

Our exports are handled through the Port of Mormugao, Goa, India, which is one of the largest ports in India and a natural harbour. The distance from our mines to this port, by road, is about 55 kilometers. We are also nearer to Karwar Port, which is situated on the Goa Karnataka border and the distance from our mines to Karwar port is about 57 kilometers. The major two rivers of Goa, that is, Mandovi and Zuari meet the Arabian Sea and by virtue of this, our mines are in the proximity of the Arabian Sea. At the Port of Mormugao, we can load 40,000 tonnes to 60,000 tonnes at the berth provided the vessel is grab-fitted.

Unlike the situation that existed in the yesteryears, our mines are fully mechanized and we are fully equipped with various types of modern machineries like Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Wagon Drill, Dumpers, Vibrating Screens, Crushers, Conveyor Belts, etc., with a team of skilled personnel operating the machineries and with the facilities available at our disposal, we can produce large quantities of Bauxite Ore in the shortest possible time to cater to the needs of the end-product industries over the globe. Our deposits are homogeneous and gibbsetic ore requiring low temperature for digestion.

We are also equipped with a full-fledged laboratory with well trained Chemists / Geologists and a team of most experienced staff in the field of mining works.

Our grades are in the range of 45% to 47% 47% to 48% and 50% to 51%

The Bauxite Mines are situated in South Goa over an area of 1263.678 HA. with estimated reserves of 70 million tons. These are metallurgical grade bauxite which can also be used for various applications such as cement, alumina chemicals, etc. The mines are situated also in the close proximity of two major ports, viz. Marmugoa Port and Betul Port.

This was the language that Karim Bencherifa had chosen to speak in his way, or rather to teach it, in a coaching career that took him around the world.

But first of all, it was necessary to have a solid foundation from player to coach. He started in Morocco, at amateur clubs, then at the highest level within the Moroccan Royal Football Federation. He never ceased to learn new information to enhance his knowledge by undergoing the most well known FIFA and UEFA training courses in Germany, France, Romania and Malta.

Undoubtedly the base that will be the essence of his ongoing career. Karim Bencherifa had always the wish to widen his working experience. Football is universal isn’t? Malta, United States, Brunei, Singapore, Middle East, India will be welcoming this globe trotting coach. I would like to draw your attention that there is nothing exotique in these choices.
